A Message from Baruch's President Regarding Hurricane Katrina

Dear Members of the Baruch College Community,

I know that you join with me in sorrow and concern over the magnitude of
the disaster that has struck the Gulf Coast. Our thoughts are with all
those who have suffered the devastating loss of loved ones, homes, indeed
entire communities.

Although it is natural to feel helpless over the daunting challenge of
recovery, over the coming days, weeks, and months, there will be ample
opportunity for us to provide support and assistance, both as individuals
and as a community, to those affected by Hurricane Katrina. Already,
Baruch College has been working with New York area students who
anticipated studying in colleges and universities in affected areas, and
we are doing everything we can to facilitate their studies with us this
semester.

We will soon begin posting information on our website on donating funds
and expertise, and other ways of helping out. In the meantime, we extend
our heartfelt sympathies to all those suffering as a result of this
catastrophe.

Sincerely yours,
Kathleen Waldron
