Dear Faculty Colleagues:

We are organizing an International Conference on Business Codes of Conduct to be
held in New York on April 7 – 10, 2004 (see attachment). The Conference will take
place in the Vertical Campus. Please mark your calendar for these dates.

This is the first international conference of its kind and it is quite appropriate that it is
being organized under the auspices of our new International Center for Corporate
Accountability (ICCA). The conference is being jointly sponsored by the Zicklin
School of Business, Baruch College; The Wharton School, Pennsylvania University,
and the World Bank Institute. In addition, the conference will have the support of a
select group of multinational corporations, Non-Governmental Organizations,
international aid and funding agencies, and governmental entities.

This conference comes at a most opportune time given the heightened public
awareness on the issues of corporate governance, corporate citizenship,
sustainable development, and labor and environmental issues linked with
international supply chain management. This conference aims to explore cutting
edge ideas and field experiences in developing voluntary approaches that engage
all significant stakeholders and create solutions that are economically viable and
socially acceptable to various parties involved.

We expect to draw conference participation from all parts of the world and notably
from the developing countries whose participation is critical since these countries
are invariably at the receiving end of some of the less palatable aspects of
globalization.

We would welcome the help of faculty members from all schools and departments of
Baruch College who wish to volunteer their time and efforts in making this
conference a success. In particular, we need colleagues with language skills and
familiarity with countries and regions in different parts of the world. I can assure you
of a very rewarding experience, exposure to a global community of scholars, NGOs
and representatives of corporations and industry groups.

Please send us an email for a complete copy of the proposal and also indicate your
interest. I will contact you shortly thereafter.

Thank you.
