Re:	Time Keeping Procedures Full time Teaching and Non Teaching
Instructional Staff

Each July the College’s time and leave records are audited and our
information must be accurate and up to date through May 2006. Accordingly,
we are requesting that you return May timesheets by June 5; normally they
are to be forwarded to Human Resources by June 10.

As a reminder, please indicate in the shaded area SL for sick leave, UH for
unscheduled holiday and AL for annual leave and put the number of hours
used below. If no time was taken, write none across the line. Employees
should initial by their name on the timesheet

employee is requesting off for jury duty they should provide the jury duty
summons and Application for Leave for Special Purposes Form attached with
the timesheet

If an employee is out for more than five sick days, they must fill out the
Family Medical Leave Act
Form.http://www.baruch.cuny.edu/hr/documents/FMLA_memo_000.pdf
http://www.baruch.cuny.edu/hr/documents/FMLA_MAY19_2006.pdf and return it
to Human Resources. If an employee is taking up to four days for
bereavement leave (immediate family only), they must fill out an
Application for Leave for Special Purposes Form.

Please ensure supervisors do not sign their own time and leave, they should
be on a different timesheet signed by their manager.

Please keep in mind that sick leave for teaching faculty is computed from
the first absence from assigned duties and includes all additional calendar
days exclusive of Saturdays (unless they are scheduled work days), Sundays
and authorized holidays and recesses until they return to work. If a
faculty member is out sick on their regularly scheduled workdays they are
charged 7 hours sick leave time (35 hour work week). As a reminder, faculty
do not accrue annual leave or unscheduled holidays, so these would not
appear on their timesheets.

Your cooperation in this effort is greatly appreciated. If you need
additional information, please e-mail me or call at 646-660-6590.
