I am pleased to announce that we have successfully concluded the search
for a new Dean for the School of Public Affairs, as David Birdsell has
accepted the position. His name will be forwarded to the Chancellor and
the CUNY Board of Trustees for their approval. I am sure you will join in
congratulating David and wishing him well in his leadership role for the
School of Public Affairs.

I wish to thank the members of the Search Committee, chaired by Fred Lane
and Barbara Lawrence, for their tireless efforts in bringing this to a
successful outcome.

David Dannenbring
Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs
