Please join the Weissman Center for International Business on Tuesday, September
21st from 12:15-1:45pm for the first Mitsui & Co. (U.S.A.) Lunchtime Forum of the Fall
semester:

“Global Inc. -- Multinational Corporations as Agents of Global and Local
Transformation.”

Medard Gabel, Executive Director, BigPictureSmallWorld, author of Global, Inc.: An
Atlas of the Multinational Corporation, and Clifford Wymbs, Professor of Marketing
and International Business at Baruch, will discuss the history, geography, scale and
impacts of the multinational corporation. Medard Gabel will present findings from his
book "Global Inc." which contains over 400 maps visually exploring the multinational
corporation through history. The book is the culmination of a three-year study
funded by the Ford Foundation and sponsored by the MIT project on Global History.
Based on their presentations, the speakers will engage the audience in a discussion
about multinational corporations as agents of global and local transformation.

The event will take place in room 14-220 of the Vertical Campus. Sandwiches and
sodas will be served. We look forward to seeing you.
