To: The Baruch College Community
From: Elliot Axelrod, Chair, Law Departtment

It is with great sadness that I inform the Baruch College community of
the passing of Professor Abraham Goldstein of the Department of
Law, one month shy of his 104th birthday. Professor Goldstein served
our students and college as an outstanding educator, legal scholar
and beloved colleague for 73 continuous years, right up until two
weeks ago.

Professor Goldstein's family has requested that any memorial gifts be
made to the Abraham Goldstein Scholarship Award Fund (checks
payable to Baruch College Fund with notation to the A. Goldstein
Scholarship, and sent to Baruch College, Law Department, Box
B9-220, One Bernard Baruch Way, New York, NY 10010). This fund
was established by Professor Goldstein's family on the occasion of
his 100th birthday.

The funeral for Professor Goldstein will be on Tuesday, October 29,
2002, at 12 noon, at the Abraham Green Funeral Home, 88 Beach
Road, Fairfield, CT. (203) 255-8993.

I can be reached by e-mail at [log in to unmask], or via
the Law Department, Box B9-220, 1-646-312-3570.

Let us look back at Abe's life with gratitude and joy.
