1     Paul Volcker Interviewed by Bethany McLean Thurdsay 5:30 pm

In an extraordinary, news-making event, the day’s activities culminate
at 5:30 pm in a live interview between Bethany McLean, the Fortune
reporter who broke the Enron story with an initial investigative report in
March 2001, and Paul Volcker, former SEC chair and current
independent oversight chair for Arthur Anderson.  This exclusive and
on-the-record live interview is free and open to the public, and takes
place at the Baruch Vertical Campus on 24th and Lexington Avenue, in
the Conference Center on the 14th floor.

best-selling business guide and autobiography, interviewed by newly
nominated Bloomberg chair in business journalism Sarah Bartlett, on

The new issue of Dollars and $ense, the magazine of the business
journalism program that has won multiple awards from Columbia
University and elsewhere, is now available online (and soon will arrive

4      Mitsui Lunch-Time Forum "Globalization:International Business
Outlook. Weds. 12:15 pm

Wednesday, May 1st from 12:15-1:45 PM the Weissman Center and
the Full Time MBA Program of the Zicklin School of Business at
Baruch College are hosting a Mitsui Lunch-Time Forum
"Globalization:  International Business Outlook."  The event will feature
Tom Niles, President of the U.S. Council for International Business;
Ron Wexler, International Economist, Merrill Lynch; and Shiv Mehta,
Managing Director, Credit Suisse Asset Management.  The event will
take place in room 14-250 of the Academic Complex.  There is no
charge for admission.  Seating is limited.  Sandwiches and sodas

5    ATTENTION STUDENTS!
Come to Career Day, Friday, May 3 from 12-4pm.  This job fair will be
held in the Gymnasium of the Vertical Campus (in the basement).
Employers representing a variety of industries will be attending.  To be
admitted, students MUST be registered Baruch students and must
bring a Baruch College student ID card and resumes.  Dec 2001/Jan
2002 Baruch graduates are welcome as well.  Professional business
attire (suits and ties for men, suits or business dresses for women) is
required for entry.   This Career Day is an opportunity for students to
meet recruiters looking for full-time employees, and is especially for
graduating seniors.  NO PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED, and
employers will meet students in one session, from 12-4 without a
