Essential Personnel , directed by Barbara Colaciello Williams, takes the audience
on a journey through the dark side of the American landscape. Exploring the
common thread of humanity, Letson reaches across time, class and race, inhabiting
the lives of eight characters struggling to break free of their own confines, whether
it's the inner conflicts of a press secretary for Texas' death row, or a Gulf War veteran
searching for his place in society. A nationally recognized performance poet, writer
and actor, Mr. Letson was the Winner of the Atlanta Grand Slam (2000), ranking 3rd
at the National Poetry Slam (2001) and then participating in Russell Simmon's Def
Poetry Jam Live (2002). Al has appeared with his one-man show Essential
Personnel at The Nuyorican Poets Cafe, The 3rd NYC Hip Hop Theatre Festival,
NYC; Theatre Project of Baltimore, University of N. Florida and other colleges across
the country. Tickets: $10 General Admission. Baruch ID Holders free, but tickets will
be required and are available at the BPAC Box Office.

Setting where Gertude runs a brothel, Hamlet is

In this mirrored world of word-scraps and cold sex,
Ophelia cuts a new path for herself.

Twelve Ophelias is a Department of Fine & Performing Arts production, presented by
the Baruch Performing Arts Center in association with New Georges.  It was
developed at Powerhouse Theater/New York Stage & Film, New Georges, and Red
Bull Theater.

Dr. Sidney Harman, Executive Chairman of Harman International, a Baruch alumnus
and the man who endowed Baruch's Harman Writer-in-Residence Program, will give
a talk on his philosophy of management, based on his business biography, "Mind
Your Own Business: A Maverick's Guide to Business, Leadership and Life"
(Currency Books/Doubleday).

The talk will be held at Vertical Campus on March 30, 2004, from 1:00 till 3:30 pm
(rooms 14-285 & 14-270).
