Dear Colleagues,

The faculty, staff and students of Modern Languages and Comparative
Literature mourn the tragic loss and the untimely death of Mr. Julio
Andino, the department’s Administrative Assistant. Mr. Andino passed away
on January 8, 2002.

Mr. Andino was a highly regarded member of the Baruch community. He joined
Baruch in 1985 and worked in several offices, among them, the Baruch
College Technology, Human Resources
and for the last three years, he was the Administrative Assistant of the
Department of Modern Languages and Comparative Literature.

To the faculty, the staff and students of Modern Languages and Comparative
Literature
Mr. Andino was very special. Julio distinguished himself for his high
professional standards,  polite manners, sense of responsibility, his
devotion and zeal to the department,  and for his kind spirit and
graciousness. Julio was highly appreciated. We all enjoyed tremendously
working with him and cherished him as an invaluable member of the
department. His untimely death has left a great void in all of us. The
memories of a beloved collaborator and friend will always be with   us. We
will miss him deeply.

Viewings will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday, January 15 and January 16,
at Ponce   Funeral Home at 54 Tompkins Avenue in Brooklyn from 2:00-9:00
p.m.(Train station is Flushing. Trains J,M,Z,G). The burial  will be on
Thursday, January 17, in the morning, in Calverton National Cemetery in
Calverton, Suffolk County, Long Island.
