Re: Appointment of Dr. Abraham Tawil to CAPS

I am pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Abraham Tawil to
the position of Acting Associate Dean and Director of Continuing and
Professional Studies. He began in the appointment this past Monday,
July 1, 2002. In Dr. TawilÕs new role he directs and oversees the daily
operations and administration of the Continuing and Professional
Studies Division.

Dr. Abe Tawil is one of our CUNY own, graduating from Brooklyn
College with his BA and continuing on with his medical studies to
earn an MD from the American University School of Medicine of
Montserrat, Wisconsin. In addition to earning his MBA in Management
from the Zicklin School of Business, Dr. Tawil also earned his JD from
the Benjamin Cardozo School of Law. Along with his consulting and
adjunct faculty work in the School of Continuing and Professional
StudiesÕ business programs, he holds certificates in community
dispute resolution and family mediation. The list of Dr. TawilÕs many
accomplishments continues on and on, but suffice it to say, Dr. Tawil
brings an expansive breadth of experience, knowledge and expertise
to his new role as Acting Associate Dean and Director of Continuing
and Professional Studies.

Please join me in congratulating Abe and wishing him continued
success.
