The Baruch Computing and Technology Center (BCTC) is solely responsible
for the deployment and management of IEEE 802.11 and related wireless
access points at Baruch College. Individuals or units of the college may
not install their own wireless access points, because these may interfere
with the operation of the campus network and introduce security
vulnerabilities. Due to these risks, BCTC will disconnect unauthorized
access points as they are discovered and notify the owners. If a unit of
the college requires wireless access where it is not already available, a
request should be made through the BCTC help desk (x1010).
Please let me know if you have any questions regarding this policy.
