On Thursday, May 19th, the Weissman Center for International Business at Baruch College is
hosting a program on trade and investment with Russia. The speakers include Padma Desai,
Director of the Center for Transition Economies, Columbia University; Dorothy Lutter, Minister
Counselor for Commercial Affairs, U.S. Embassy, Moscow; Blake Marshall, Executive Vice
President, U.S.-Russia Business Council; and Peter M. Tirschwell, Vice President, Magazine
Group, Commonwealth Business Media, moderator. The presentation is co-sponsored by
JPMorgan Chase and the Journal of Commerce.

Our speakers will provide a highly informed discussion and analysis of the economics of
Russia in the context of President Bush's recent visit to Moscow. What are the prospects for
sustained growth? Is the business climate becoming more predictable? Are international
standards being adopted? Is there progress in WTO accession negotiations?

The event will take place from 8:15-10:15am in Baruch College's Newman Conference Center,
room 750, 151 East 25th Street, NY, NY 10010. To reserve a seat, please contact (646) 312-
2074, or e-mail [log in to unmask] This event is part of World Trade Week
celebrations in New York City (see www.worldtradeweeknyc.org)
