FACULTY/STAFF LOUNGE (VC 14-290)
PHOTOS AND ASSESSMENT

We hope that all members of our faculty and staff know about the
Faculty/Staff Lounge in 14-290 of the Vertical Campus.* In operation
now for more than a year, the Lounge is regularly visited by more
than 100 people a day during the academic year.

If you haven't visited recently, you haven't seen the display of beautiful
11x14 photos of new members of our full-time faculty. Names and
departments will be added very soon. The photographer is Jerry Speier.

Your filling out the questionnaire below will help the administration
assess the facility and how it has been operated. Please respond
online by sending your completed questionnaire to
[log in to unmask]
or by printing out the questionnaire and sending it to
Marilyn Gaffney at Box D-710.

Questionnaire

Have you ever visited the Faculty/Staff Lounge?

If not, why not?

If so, approximately how often do you visit?

Do you visit at a regular time of day? If so, when?

Are you generally satisfied with the physical layout of the Lounge itself?

If not, what would improve it?

Are you generally satisfied with the quality of the food available in
the Lounge?

If not, what could be better?

Are you satisfied with the quantity of food available in the Lounge?

If not, what is there not enough of?

Subject to your schedule, would you be likely to attend events in the
Lounge, such as the following:

a regular sherry hour
wine and cheese tasting(s)
faculty development seminars on teaching
an "office hour" in which you can express what's on your mind to senior
administrators (such as the deans, vice presidents, or the president)?

Do you have suggestions for events appropriate to the Lounge?

Any additional comments assessing the Lounge would be welcome. We've
received many positive comments about it. Many thanks in advance for your
help in making it even better.

Dennis Slavin, Associate Provost
