JACK WELCH
Former chairman and CEO, General Electric
Vertical Campus Conference Center, Room 14-220
William and Anita Newman Vertical Campus
55 Lexington Avenue

9:30 AM - 11:00 AM

“If leadership is an art,” wrote BusinessWeek magazine in 1998, “then surely Welch has
proved himself a master painter.” Jack Welch, the most celebrated chief executive officer in
recent history, returns to Baruch College on Monday, April 18, as the special guest speaker at
the first annual Burton Kossoff Business Leadership Lecture Series. We encourage you to be a
part of this extraordinary occasion, as Welch discusses the dynamics of corporate leadership
and the qualities needed to succeed in management.

Audience members should plan to arrive at the Vertical Campus Conference Center, Room
14-220, by 9:00 AM in order to get a seat. Chairs in the 300-seat auditorium are available on
a first-come, first-served basis only. Latecomers may be denied entry to the event. A book
signing will precede the lecture, and copies of Mr. Welch’s new book, “Winning,” will be
available for sale.
