Baruch College now has a single point of online access to the digital
multimedia resources that it produces. The Digital Media Library (DML)
(http://www.baruch.cuny.edu/dml) is a continuously growing collection of
online tutorials, oral histories, and recordings of lectures and campus
events. It contains materials as varied as readings by Tony Kushner and
Edward Albee, addresses by Peter Vallone and Larry Zicklin, and
recordings of the college's commencement and the groundbreaking ceremony
for the Vertical Campus.

Baruch departments and faculty can submit videos, audio clips, images
and multimedia presentations to the DML. The instructions are posted on
the DML home page. There is also a URL generator that lets faculty add
links from DML contents to their Blackboard courses.

Jason Belland, Multimedia Instructional Designer, managed the
development of the DML and the preparation of its content. Janey Chao,
Head of Cataloging, supplied the metadata that allows the contents to be
fully searchable. The project team also included Patrick Ackerman, Bin
Lu, Michael Parascandola, Jim Russell, and Thomas Shomaker.
