Welcome Baruch's New Executive Chief Diversity Officer: Elliott Dawes
Following an extensive search, President S. David Wu has named Elliott Dawes, JD, LLM, as Executive Chief Diversity Officer for Baruch College. As a member of the president's cabinet, Mr. Dawes will be a key partner in providing purposeful leadership for all College-wide Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) efforts. A Commitment to Mutual Respect and Condemnation of Hate Speech and Violence
In the wake of numerous crises and conflicts happening around the world, Vice President for Student Affairs and Dean of Students Art King reaffirmed the College's pledge to "protect and respect the rights of all people and reject all forms of prejudice and hate" in messages<https://forward.baruch.cuny.edu/wp-content/uploads/sites/13/2021/05/Dean-of-Students-Commitment-to-Mutual-Respect.pdf> to the Baruch students, faculty, and staff.

Student Wins Fulbright to Mexico
Kimberly Kazdal ('21) is the recipient of a 2021-22 Fulbright U.S. Student award and will have an opportunity to travel, work, and learn in Mexico. By Design: Four Baruch Students Win "Vaccine & Us" Smithsonian-Sponsored Poster Competition

The Counseling Center offers students free and confidential individual and group counseling and support sessions and Black Mental Health Matters (BMHM) Support Sessions.

  *   Group counseling: The center offers two sessions of Relationship to Self and Others, which meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 1-2 pm, on Zoom.   *   Black Mental Health Matters (BMHM) Support Sessions: The center offers sessions that foster and support the growth, networking, collaboration, success, and well-being of Black students. BMHM is led by psychologists Jael Amador, PhD, and Gary Dillon, PhD, who work from a social justice and multicultural framework. On Wednesdays, 2-3 pm, via Zoom. Passing Strange: A Film by Harman Writer-in-Residence Stew
