Self-Study 2020 Update: Evaluation Team Visit, Report, and Next Steps

Dear Students, Faculty, and Staff,

I want to thank everyone who participated in the Baruch College Self-Study process, which began in November 2017, and in the site visit this week by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE) Evaluation Team. That visit culminated yesterday morning with the team's delivery of a strong and highly positive oral report.

In several weeks, the Evaluation Team will issue a written version of yesterday's report, which the College will have an opportunity to review before it is formally submitted to the Middle States Commission. And we look forward to receiving the final result of the MSCHE's vote on our re-accreditation, which is anticipated to take place in June 2020.

We have much to be proud of at Baruch, and we are grateful to the MSCHE Evaluation Team for recognizing the many outstanding accomplishments of our institution. I want, in particular, to thank the more than 60 faculty and staff who actively participated in the Self-Study; the three co-chairs, Drs. Rachél Fester, Dennis Slavin, and Cheryl Smith; and Chief of Staff Kenya Lee, who managed the complicated details of the site visit.
