Computer Network Outages Update

Dear Students, Faculty, and Staff,

Last week Baruch College experienced a hardware malfunction that caused a loss of WiFi and other network services throughout the Newman Vertical Campus. Repairs to the affected hardware were completed on Friday, Sept. 29. We also experienced some issues with the Baruch website on Friday, which we have now stabilized. An additional replacement was made this morning at 6:45 am.

While the overall condition of the network has greatly improved following these repairs, Baruch experienced a disruption this afternoon. Thankfully, redundant systems were able to take over. We are continuing to monitor the network and are working with our vendors to ensure optimal performance and to devise and implement permanent solutions.

We regret any inconvenience this has caused and continue to appreciate your patience.
