Fall 2020: Task Force Recommends Holding Most Classes Online
President S. David Wu has announced<https://president.baruch.cuny.edu/presidents-messages/task-force-delivers-phase-one-report-vast-majority-of-classes-online-for-fall-2020/> that the vast majority of courses and student services will be offered online for Fall 2020. His decision was guided by the research and recommendations developed by Baruch's Task Force for the Future, which received broad campus-wide input. The task force's phase one report<https://president.baruch.cuny.edu/wp-content/uploads/sites/10/2020/07/TFF-Preliminary-Report-July-9.pdf> aligns with guidance approved<https://www.cuny.edu/coronavirus/chancellor-letters/getting-ready-for-the-fall/> by the CUNY Board of Trustees at its special meeting last week. Baruch's faculty and academic leaders are currently deciding which small number of courses will be offered in hybrid formats and which online courses will be delivered synchronously or asynchronously. President Wu charged the task force<https://president.baruch.cuny.edu/task-force-for-the-future/> in May to envision a path forward for Baruch's short- and long-term future.
