Power Down in the Information and Technology Building Data Center

To Students, Faculty, and Staff:

Next Tuesday, April 11, CUNY will perform tests on the generator that supplies power to the College’s main data center on the 9th floor of the Information and Technology Building (ITB), 151 East 25th Street. During these tests, the computing and network systems in the room must be shut down. As a result, the following services will not be available from 8 am to 4 pm:


·         Wired and WiFi networking in the ITB building and the Annex

·         Voicemail campus-wide

·         Some College systems, such as ePAF, scholarship database, Fundware, and the Help Desk’s ticket tracking system

Other systems will remain operational in other campus locations. Wired and WiFi networking will run in all other buildings, and phone services will work everywhere on campus.
