Keeping Baruch Updated in This New Era

Dear Students,

With our campus facilities currently closed in support of Governor Cuomo’s New York State on PAUSE<https://www.governor.ny.gov/news/governor-cuomo-signs-new-york-state-pause-executive-order> executive order, it is critical that our community stay strong and connected. We will do this through online courses and collaboration, social media, and regular updates from the College—including this weekly newsletter, This [log in to unmask] In this forum, we will share updates on Baruch’s and CUNY’s responses to the COVID-19 situation—as well as good news on student, faculty, staff, and College accomplishments, which we are all eager to hear.

On Friday, distance learning will be temporarily on hold as we embark on a brief Recalibration Period for Educational Equity<https://baruch.cuny.edu/coronavirus/documents/March25-RecalibrationPeriodAnnounced-SpringRecessDatesAdjusted.pdf>. Recalibration Period and Adjusted Spring Recess Dates
The Recalibration Period for Educational Equity will begin this Friday, March 27, and last through Wednesday, April 1. During this time, distance learning will be on hold. Courses will resume on Thursday, April 2.

In addition, Spring Recess has been adjusted. It will now run from Wednesday, April 8, through Friday, April 10. This time period includes Good Friday and the beginning of Passover. Individuals whose religious observation extends into the week of April 13 may request a religious exemption<https://www.cuny.edu/about/administration/offices/legal-affairs/policies-procedures/reasonable-accommodations-and-academic-adjustments/vi-religious-accommodations/>.
